About Membership Registration

Q. What is JR Hotel Members?

It is a membership program in which JR East Hotels, JR Tokai Hotels, JR West Hotels, and JR Kyushu Group Hotels are affiliated.

You can earn points for stays at participating hotels and dining at restaurants and bars.
Earned points can be used for payment at the hotel, and can also be exchanged for partner points and various other membership benefits.

Q. Please tell me about the membership benefits.

Members can receive membership benefits by presenting their membership cards when using the hotel.
The following membership benefits are available.
(1)Point Benefits (earn, use, exchange)
(2)Smart Check-In
(3)Late check-out (free extension until noon)
(4)Discounts on accommodation and restaurants (excluding some hotels)
(5)Receiving special membership information (e-mail newsletters, direct mail)

In addition, if you earn 25,000 points or more in one year, you can receive Gold membership benefits, and some hotels offer other special benefits for accommodation and restaurants as well as wedding specials.

Q. Which hotels offer membership benefits?

For hotels that offer membership benefits, please refer to this List of Participating Hotels and Restaurants (PDF).

*For some hotels, only restaurants are eligible, while other hotels have non-eligible tenant stores.
*The VIA INN hotel chain has a separate membership program.
There are other hotels in the JR Hotel Group with different membership programs.

Q. Is there an admission fee or annual fee for JR Hotel Members?

There is no admission fee or annual fee.

Q. Please tell me how to join.

There are three ways to join JR Hotel Members. (No admission fee or annual fee)

①Join Online
 You can register your membership information on the official website of JR Hotel Members. When you visit the hotel, you will be issued a membership card, and your membership will be completed.
 *New member registration via the Internet is a temporary registration.

 *New member registration via the Internet is a temporary registration.

②Join at the Hotel/Restaurant
 When you visit the hotel, please fill out the membership application form and hand it to the staff. You will be issued a membership card on the spot to complete your membership.
 In addition, after joining at the hotel, you can use services such as checking your point balance and exchanging points for partner points by completing separate Internet procedures.

③Join on the JRHM App
 Download the JR Hotel Members App and your membership registration will be completed on the spot without having to go through the membership card issuance procedures at the hotel.

Q. How is a membership card issued?

Those who have a designated transportation IC card can register it as a membership card when visiting the hotel.
If you do not have a designated transportation IC card, the staff will issue you a membership card.
*Membership cards are not mailed.
*You can only apply for a membership card even if you do not stay or use the hotel.

Q. What is a designated transportation IC card?

The following 10 companies’ transportation IC cards can be used as membership cards.
Kitaca, Suica, PASMO, TOICA, manaca, ICOCA, PiTaPa, nimoca, SUGOCA, HAYAKAKEN

Q. Can I become a member even if I do not have a transportation IC card?

Yes, you can.
If you do not have a transportation IC card, the hotel will issue you with a membership card.

Q. Is there anything I need when joining at the hotel?

We may ask you to show your ID to confirm your identity, but nothing else is required.

Q. Can I join online?

Yes, you can.
Joining on the Internet (new member registration) is a temporary registration, and you will be issued a membership card when you visit the hotel.

Q. Is there an age limit for membership registration?

No, there is not.
If you are under 18 years of age, we may ask a parent or guardian to confirm details.

Q. What should I do if I lose my membership card?

We will suspend the use of your membership card, so please contact the nearest applicable hotel as soon as possible.
A new membership card will be issued when you visit a hotel.
The balance of your JR Hotel Members Points will be transferred to your new membership card.
*For transportation IC cards, please follow the prescribed loss procedures specified by each IC card issuer, etc.

Q. How do I change my registration information?

You can change your address, phone number, and other information by yourself from “My Page” after logging in as a member on the official website of JR Hotel Members.
Please refer to the “About Internet Use” questions for details.

Q. When I joined, I requested to receive your e-mail newsletters, but I have not received them. What should I do?

The e-mail newsletters are distributed irregularly.
Please check your settings and ensure you can receive mail from the domain “@jrhotel-m.jp.”

Q. Please tell me how to cancel my membership.

Please ask the staff to “cancel your membership” when you visit the nearest hotel, as you will need to fill out a membership cancellation form once your identity has been confirmed.
All benefits and points will expire upon cancellation of your membership.

About JRHM Points

Q. What are JR Hotel Members Points?

These are the points earned by staying or dining at participating hotels and restaurants of JR Hotel Members.
Earned points can be used for payment at the hotel and can also be exchanged for partner points.
Please present your membership card when using the hotel.

Q. When will the points be granted??

Points will be granted at noon on the day after the check-out date and the day after the restaurant is used.

Q. How can I check my point balance?

There are three ways to check your point balance.

(i) Log in as a member from the official website of JR Hotel Members and check your points from “JRHM Point Inquiry” on My Page.
  Please refer to the “About Internet Use” questions for details.

(ii) Receipt statement given at the time of payment at the hotel (except for some hotels)

(iii) Check the point balance with hotel staff
*We may ask to confirm your identity.

Q. Why haven’t I received any points for my stay?

Reservations eligible for points are limited to reservations made through the official website and reservations made directly by phone or email.
If you have not received points for any of the above reservations, please contact the hotel where you stayed.
*Points will be granted for room charges (room and extension fees).
*Points will not be granted if the member has not paid for the room charge.
*Points may not be granted depending on other usage fees, reservation methods, and payment methods.

Q. What are the charges that do not earn points?

The following charges are not eligible for points.

・Taxes
(consumption tax, accommodation tax, bathing tax, etc.)
・Payment other than room charge, food and drinks
(parking, pay-per-view, telephone, laundry, massage, delivery, flower arrangement, tobacco, use of incidental facilities, etc.)
・Plans, menus, products, etc. that are not eligible for points determined by the hotel
・Charges for weddings and banquets

In addition to the above, there are other charges that are not eligible for points as determined by the hotel. Please contact the hotel for details.

Q. What are the reservation methods that do not earn points?

The following reservation methods are not eligible for points.

・Reservations through travel agencies (JTB, KNT, Nippon Travel Agency, H.I.S, etc.)
・Online reservations other than official websites (Rakuten, Jalan, ikkyu.com, etc.)

In addition to the above, there are other reservation methods and accommodation plans that are not eligible for points as determined by the hotel. Please contact the hotel for details.
*In principle, points will be granted for reservations made through the official website, directly at the hotel, or by contacting the hotel.

Q. What are the payment methods that do not earn points?

The following payment methods are not eligible for points.

・Accounts receivable, corporate bulk billing
・Payment with JR Hotel Members Points
・Payment in conjunction with other discounts or special benefits (coupons, discount coupons, use of points, etc.) *Excluding some hotels

In addition to the above, there are other payment methods that are not eligible for points as determined by the hotel. Please contact the hotel for details.
*In principle, points will be granted for payments made at the front desk by cash, credit card, electronic money, etc., or by credit card payment in advance for reservations made through the official website.

Q. Why haven’t I received any points for dining at a restaurant?

Points may not be granted for payment methods that are not eligible for points, or for not presenting your membership card or declaring your membership.
We kindly ask you to contact the restaurant you used.
(Please have your receipt ready and inform us of the time of use, number of people, amount, etc.)
*Points will not be granted if the member has not paid for the food and beverage.

Q. Is there an expiration date for my points?

Points are counted annually with the last day being March 31 of each year and will expire two years later on March 31.

*The expiration date of points is calculated based on the date the points are earned.
*Points will automatically expire after the expiration date.

Q. How do I use my earned points?

Each point (1 yen) can be used for payment at the hotel.
Please present your membership card to the staff and inform the staff that you wish to use your points.

Q. How do I combine several points?

Points held by persons other than the member himself/herself cannot be combined into one for any reason.

Q. Can I transfer my points to a third party?

No, you can’t.
Membership benefits are only applicable to the member and are not transferable (transfer of points) to any third party.

Q. Can I extend the expiration date of my points?

No, you can’t.
We cannot extend the expiration date of points for any reason.

Q. Can I get my expired points back?

No, you can’t.
We cannot refund expired points for any reason.

Q. Why don’t I get my points back when I cancel my reservation after using my points?

Points are counted annually with the last day being March 31 of each year and will expire two years later on March 31.
Points will not be returned in the event of cancellation after the expiration date.

About Internet Use

Q. Please tell me about My Page (member page).

This page is available to JR Hotel Members by “logging in as a member” on the Internet.
The following services are available on My Page.

(1) Reservations for members-only accommodation plans
(2) Confirmation or change of registered information
(3) Point balance inquiry
(4) Confirmation of points scheduled to expire

Q. Please tell me about member login.

Newly registered members on the Internet
You can “log in as a member” with the login email address and password set when you registered.

Members who joined at the hotel
If you have never “logged in as a member” after joining at a hotel, you will need to complete the “Web Use Procedures” on the Internet.

Q. What are the “Web Use Procedures”?

These are the first-time password-setting procedures for those who have never “logged in as a member” after joining at the hotel via the Internet.
During the procedures, members will be asked to set up their own email address and password for login.
(Even if you joined at the hotel and have a membership card, a password is not issued.)
Please proceed to the “Web Use Procedures” button on the “Member Login” page below and enter the membership number on the back of your membership card to complete the procedures.

Q. I cannot complete the “Web Use Procedures.” What should I do?

The membership number on the back of the membership card issued by the hotel is required for the procedures.
*New members who have registered online do not need to complete the “Web Use Procedures.”
We cannot proceed with the procedures in the following cases, so please confirm them.

・If the information entered on the membership application form is different from the information entered on the application form at the hotel
・If you have lost your membership card and do not know your membership number
 (Please have your membership card reissued at the hotel before proceeding.)
・If you have registered your designated transportation IC card as a membership card at the hotel and the membership number on the back of the card has been changed
 (Please have your membership card number changed at the hotel before proceeding.)

Q. The email address for login has changed. What should I do?

Please “log in as a member” using your old email address, and change your registered information to your new email address from “Confirm/Change Customer Information” on My Page.

Q. I forgot my login email address. What should I do?

Please contact your hotel. After confirming your identity, we will search your registration information.
*Please note that you will not be able to “log in as a member” if you have not set an e-mail address for login on the Internet.

Q. I forgot my login password. What should I do?

You can check your password by clicking the “Forgot Password” link on the member login page.
Please enter your registered login e-mail address and phone number and click the “Send” button.
We will send your password to your registered e-mail address.
*The password confirmation email will be sent automatically. If you do not receive the e-mail, please set up your account so that you can receive mail from the domain “@jrhotel-m.jp.”
*Please note that you will not be able to “log in as a member” if you have not set a password on the Internet.
 (The password in the password confirmation e-mail may be sent blank.)

Q. Please tell me how to make accommodation reservations.

There are two ways to make accommodation reservations.

(i) Reservations via the Internet
 You can make a reservation by logging in as a member on the official website and selecting your desired hotel, date, plan, etc.

(ii) Reservations by contacting the hotel
 You can make reservations for the hotel of your choice directly at the hotel, by phone, or by e-mail.

Q. Please tell me about how to change or cancel accommodation reservations.

●If you made a reservation via the Internet
 You can change or cancel your reservation from My Page after logging in as a member or from each hotel’s website.
 If you are unable to change or cancel your reservation, or if you wish to cancel on the day of your stay, please contact the hotel directly.

●If you made a reservation by contacting the hotel
 Please contact the hotel directly.

Q. I registered as a new member on the Internet and made a reservation on behalf of a guest. Where can I pick up my membership card?

Membership cards are not sent by mail. When you visit your nearest hotel, please inform the staff that you have registered as a member via the Internet.
*Those who have a designated transportation IC card can register it as a membership card at the hotel.
*You can only apply for a membership card even if you do not stay or use the hotel.

Q. If I cancel my reservation, will my temporary membership information be deleted?

No, your membership information will not be deleted simply because you cancel your reservation.

Q. I would like to delete my temporary Internet registration. What should I do?

Please reply without deleting the body of the e-mail sent after completing the temporary registration. Your registration information will be deleted.
*If you have been issued a membership card by the hotel and have completed the registration, we will not be able to delete (cancel) your membership by e-mail.
Please ask the staff to “cancel your membership” when you visit the nearest hotel, as you will need to fill out a membership cancellation form once your identity has been confirmed.

Q. What is a Point Partner Facility?

This is a partner facility that offers only the JR Hotel Members Point-earning service as a membership benefit.

If you make a reservation after “Member Login” on the Internet, points will be granted to you after your stay.
*It may take up to two weeks to receive points.
*Points will not be granted for stays reserved by phone or directly at the hotel directly.

[Other Unavailable Membership Benefits]
Earned points cannot be used for payment at the facility.
Prescribed procedures such as joining at the facility or changing your membership number are not available.
Smart check-in by presenting a designated transportation IC card is not available.
