Membership benefits, including point accrual, are available only for reservations made through our official booking channels, including the official website, official app, reservations made directly with the hotel by phone, or bookings made in person at the hotel.

Reservations made through online travel agencies (OTAs), travel agencies, or other third-party booking channels are not eligible for membership benefits, including late check-out, complimentary room upgrades, or other status privileges.

Some participating hotels are excluded from the JR Hotel Members program. At hotels affiliated with global hotel brands, such as Marriott Bonvoy participating properties, the partner brand's membership rules and benefits may take precedence.

As a result, certain JR Hotel Members benefits—including the Best Rate Guarantee—may not be available. Please refer to the official website of the hotel or contact the property directly for details.

When the renewed membership program launches, your current membership status and qualifying activity will be used to determine your initial membership tier under the new five-tier program.

No action is required on your part. Once the new program becomes effective, you can view your updated membership tier and point balance by logging in to your My Page.

Membership tiers are evaluated based on a rolling 12-month period using qualifying points earned through the 25th of each month.

If your qualifying points meet the requirements for a higher tier, your membership tier will be updated on the first day of the following month.

Your membership tier remains valid for up to one year. If your qualifying activity no longer meets the requirements during that period, your tier will be adjusted based on your actual qualifying activity. If there is no qualifying activity for 12 consecutive months, your membership tier will return to Bronze.

Tier Qualification Requirements
・Silver: 2,500 qualifying points
・Gold: 10,000 qualifying points
・Platinum: 25,000 qualifying points
・Diamond: 50,000 qualifying points

Note: Your initial membership tier when the renewed program launches will be determined based on your qualifying activity as of MM/DD.

Your membership tier is evaluated using qualifying activity from the previous 12 months, based on records accumulated through the 25th of each month.

If your qualifying points satisfy the requirements for a higher tier, your new membership tier will take effect on the first day of the following month.

If you earn enough qualifying points to qualify for a higher membership tier, your tier will be updated on the first day of the following month, even if you skip one or more intermediate tiers.

If you skip tiers, you will also receive the Status Upgrade Bonus Points for each tier achieved.

Example: If you move directly from Bronze to Gold, you will receive a total of 3,500 bonus points:
・500 points for reaching Silver
・3,000 points for reaching Gold

Yes. If your membership tier is upgraded before your stay, you will receive the benefits and point accrual rate associated with your new membership tier.

There are three types of points under the JR Hotel Members program:

・Base Points, earned based on eligible spending.
・Platinum, awarded according to your membership tier.
・Diamond, awarded for special occasions such as birthdays and membership tier upgrades.

Each point type may have different terms and expiration periods.

For reservations made through our official website or official app, you can choose the number of points you wish to redeem during the booking process.

For reservations made through other eligible booking channels, please inform the front desk staff at check-in if you would like to use your points.

To redeem points at participating restaurants, please notify a member of staff before payment.

Birthday Bonus Points will first be awarded beginning in January 2027.

Bonus points are credited on the 25th of the month according to the schedule below.

Examples
・Birthday: January 30 → Points awarded: December 25, 2026
・Birthday: December 5 → Points awarded: November 25, 2027

Base Points are valid for two years from the date they are awarded (the date of your eligible stay or purchase).

Under the previous program, points were valid for up to three years. Under the renewed program, however, each batch of points has its own expiration date based on when it was awarded.

Limited-Time Points, including promotional and bonus points, have shorter validity periods than Base Points and may have different expiration dates depending on the promotion or campaign.

Please note that JR Hotel Members points cannot be exchanged for partner loyalty programs, such as JRE POINT. Be sure to redeem your points before they expire.

Yes. Both Status Upgrade Bonus Points and Birthday Bonus Points are issued as Limited-Time Points.

Unlike Base Points, which are valid for two years, Limited-Time Points have shorter validity periods that vary depending on the type of bonus awarded.

Please note that Limited-Time Points cannot be exchanged for partner loyalty programs, such as JRE POINT, so we encourage you to redeem them before they expire.

Please request a complimentary room upgrade at the front desk when you check in.

Subject to room availability on the day of your stay, eligible members may receive a complimentary upgrade to the next available room category (for example, from a Single Room to a Double Room).

This benefit is available exclusively to Platinum and Diamond members. Complimentary upgrades are subject to availability and may not be offered depending on room inventory, your reservation details, room type (such as suites), or other operational circumstances.

Please request late check-out when you check in. Subject to availability, your check-out time may be extended free of charge as follows:

・Bronze / Silver / Gold: Until 12:00 noon
・Platinum: Until 1:00 PM
・Diamond: Until 2:00 PM
